"September High" reflects the tense, single-minded essence of elk during rut. Following ancient rhythms of seasonal transition, the curling brittle leaves, crisp mountain air, light scent of snow and waning daylight hours seize the attentions of these magnificent animals as the drama of autumn in the high country unfolds.

A cow elk casually observes, wondering who may become the dominant male, and you may notice others observing the intensifying conflict as well. Who will win the right to claim and lead the herd? The elder - patient and wise with experience? Or the younger bull - alert, poised and eager to challenge all comers.

Only next year's spring calves will tell that tale.

"September High" is now available in a signed limited edition giclée print of only 400. Image size is 24" x 20" Please write or call for more information.  The above summary description appears above the Certificate of Authenticity accompanying each print.
